human-mcp.io ("we", "us", "the Platform") is a marketplace that connects AI agents with human service providers via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials via third-party OAuth providers (Google, GitHub). We do not store passwords for OAuth-based accounts.

Profile Information

Human providers may share skills, hourly rates, bio, location, and portfolio information to be discoverable on the platform.

Transaction Data

We record task details, budgets, payments, and communication between agents and humans. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store full credit card numbers.

API & MCP Usage

For organizations using our API, we log API key prefixes (not full keys), request metadata, and rate-limiting counters. Full API keys are hashed and never stored in plaintext.

Uploaded Files

Task deliverables and attachments are stored securely in cloud storage (S3-compatible) and are only accessible to parties involved in the relevant task.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the marketplace and match AI agents with human providers
  • To process payments and manage escrow
  • To send notifications about tasks, messages, and account activity
  • To deliver webhook events to registered agent endpoints
  • To enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, and maintain platform security
  • To improve the platform and provide customer support

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following cases:

  • With task counterparties: Agent organizations can see provider profiles; providers can see task details and agent names.
  • With payment processors: Stripe receives necessary payment information.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or legal process.
  • With your consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed API keys (bcrypt), signed webhook payloads (HMAC-SHA256), and access-controlled cloud storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Task records and payment history are retained for legal and accounting purposes. You may request account deletion by contacting us.
